Your journey begins at the Kauai Backcountry office with the guides fitting you with your headlamp, gloves and helmet. The group then hops in the 4 wheel drive Swiss built Pinzauer transport vehicle. As you head to the backcountry, you will enjoy the breathtaking vistas and spectacular scenery while your guide shares the history of the historical Lihue Plantation and Kauai. After arriving at the launch site, you will grab a tube, don the headlamp, and jump into gently flowing waters. Witness Kauai's incredible historical feats of engineering as you float down through open canals, through several amazing tunnels and flumes engineered and hand dug in the 1870's by plantation workers. Enjoy the wonders and magic of each tunnel lit by headlamps. The gently flowing waters, beautiful tropical setting, flumes and tunnels combines for a relaxing, fun and fascinating experience for everyone. 70% of this unique Kauai Mountain tubing activity is through tunnels. Meet Location & Times: The meet location for this is at the Kauai Backcountry Office; 3-4131 Kuhio Highway, Hanana'ula, Kauai, Hawaii 96715. Tubing Adventure Tour times are 9:00am, 10:00am, 12:00pm and 2:00pm daily. Check in is 45 minutes prior to the tour. Please note that available times may vary from summer to winter. There may be less tour times available during the winter. Any adjustments in the tour time will be as close as possible to your requested time. Lunch Menu: The lunch menu for this Kauai Tubing Adventures is picnic style with the following sandwich selections. Turkey       Veggie Lunch is rounded out with chips, a cookie and bottled water. Lunch is provided after the Tubing Adventure is completed. Enjoy a swim in the stream after lunch. What to Bring: You should wear water friendly shoes, a swim suit or clothing that can get wet. Bring with you a towel, a change of dry clothes, a hat, sunscreen and bug repellent. Kauai backcountry Adventures will provide gloves, lunch, headlamps and the tubes. Important Information: When scheduling a Tubing adventure with Kauai Backcountry Adventures through the Maui Fun Company / Activity Savers Maui / Activity Savers Kauai the reservation will be confirmed with your credit card. The Maui Fun Company / Activity Savers Maui / Activity Savers Kauai will charge a 15% deposit to the card 10 days before you depart to Hawaii and e-mail you the voucher. The remaining balance of 80% is collected by Kauai Backcountry when you check in for the Tubing Adventure. Please note that Kauai Backcountry Adventures will only accept VISA and MASTERCARD. Kauai Backcountry Adventures does not accept third party billing such as wedding gifts and etc. The balance due upon check in must be paid by a member of your party doing the tubing adventure or someone who is not doing the activity, but present when you check in for the event.
