Hanalei, so picturesque, its stunning mountain views provide a unique experience, as you paddle up river into a sea green, in the surrounding lowlands of Hanalei Valley. As you approach the fluted ridges, the rainforest unfolds the sights and sounds of the tropics.
The pristine waters in the Bay Reef Lagoon (Blue Lagoon) present a family friendly kayaking adventure on the north shore. Hanalei Bay's beautiful white sand beach brings back memories of movies filmed on its shore like South Pacific, 6 Days and 7 Nights and more.
The kayak rental includes car mounts. This allows you to explore what ever appeals to you. From the stunning Na Pali Coast, Hanalei & Wailua Rivers, to ocean kayaking off Poipu or any other area that looks interesting to kayak Kauai.
You can pick up your reserved kayak in either Hanalei or Kappa. We suggest the nearest store to your lodging location. You should know your limitations when selecting a Kauai Kayaking location. Remember you will be on your own!

Zest Expeditions Tandem Kayak:
This kayak is available Both Kapaa & Hanalei.
The Zest Expeditions Kayak is a tandem (seats 2) kayaks. This is a sit on top kayak and best enjoyed for exploring rivers. Great for kayaking up the Wailua or Hanalei Rivers.
Zest Expeditions Kayak Specs:
This kayak is 16'4' in length with a width of 32" and weighs 71lbs. The weight capacity of this kayak is 500-600lbs. Cockpit length is 49". The Zest Expeditions Kayak is a sit on top kayak. There are no foot peddles or rudder with this kayak. This kayak does not have a dry storage compartment. A dry bag is included with the rental.

Pamlico Wilderness 160-T Tandem Kayak:
This kayak is available only in Kapaa.
The Pamlico Wilderness 160-T is a tandem (seats 2) kayak. This kayak is best enjoyed for exploring rivers. This kayak is great for kayaking up the Wailua River. This kayak is the best choice for families with children.
Pimlico Wilderness 160-T Tandem Kayak Specs:
This kayak is 15'6" in length with a width of 33" and weighs 83lbs. The weight capacity of this kayak is 650lbs. The seat depth is 16" with a width of 23' Cockpit length is 79". The Pimlico Widerness 160-T has foot peddles and a rudder. This kayak does not have a dry storage compartment. A dry bag is included with the rental.

Cobra II Tandem Kayak:
This kayak is available only in Hanalei.
The Cobra II Kayak is a tandem (seats 2) kayaks. This is a sit on top kayak and best enjoyed for exploring rivers. Great for kayaking up the Hanalei River and out to the Blue Lagoon in Hanalei Bay. This kayak is not recommended for extended ocean kayaking. Use with caution in open water near shore.
Cobra II Tandem Kayak Specs:
This kayak is 12'6' in length with a width of 36" and weighs 57lbs. The weight capacity of this kayak is 500-600lbs. Cockpit length is 49". The Cobra II Kayak is a sit on top kayak. There are no foot peddles or rudder. This kayak does not have a dry storage compartment. A dry bag is included with the rental.

Cobra III Triple Kayak:
This kayak is available only in Hanalei.
The Cobra II Kayak is a triple (seats 3) kayaks. This is a sit on top kayak and best enjoyed for exploring rivers. Great for kayaking up the Hanalei River and out to the Blue Lagoon in Hanalei Bay. This kayak is not recommended for extended ocean kayaking. Use with caution in open water near shore.
Cobra III Triple Kayak Specs:
This kayak is 16'6' in length with a width of 36" and weighs 80lbs. The weight capacity of this kayak is 850lbs. The Cobra III Kayak is a sit on top kayak. There are no foot peddles or rudder. This kayak does not have a dry storage compartment. There is ample on deck storage when used as a tandem kayak in the vacant middle seat. A dry bag is included with the rental.

Prowler Scupper Pro TW 160-T Kayak:
This kayak is available only in Hanalei.
The Prowler Scupper Pro TW is a single (seats 1) kayak. This is a sit on top kayak. The prowler was designed for both rivers and sea kayaking. Perfect for the Na Pali Coast. The avid kayaker would enjoy this kayak. Know your limitations when reserving this kayak.
Prowler Scupper Pro TW Single Kayak:
This kayak is 15'4" in length with a width of 28" and weighs 56lbs. The weight capacity of this kayak is 400-450bs. There are no foot peddles and a rudder. There is a dry storage compartment.

Hanalei Pick Up Location:
To pick up your Kauai kayak rental you need to check at Kayak Kauai Hanalei Shop on the Kuhio Highway (560), one mile past the old Hanalei Iron Bridge as you enter Hanalei Town. This is next to the Dolphin Restaurant.

Kapaa Pick Up Location:
To pick up your Kauai kayak rental you need to check at Kayak Kauai Shop on Highway (56) in the South Parking Lot of the Coconut Market Place in Kapaa.
